BHE1 SPRING SEASON PLAYOFF FORMAT
GENERAL RULES
- Only games played within each division count toward final standings.
- Game format remains the same as regular season.
- Overtime: 5-minute 3-on-3. Last 2 minutes are stop time.
- Shootout: 3 players. If still tied, sudden death. All players must shoot once before repeats.
- Players must have played at least 4 regular season games to qualify.
- No AP players unless from a lower age group and have played 4 regular season games with their original team.
U9 Division
U9 A & C:
- Semi-Finals: 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3
- Winners play in the Final
U9 B:
- Quarter-Finals: 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5
- Winners advance to Semi-Finals: 1 vs QF winner, 2 vs QF winner
- Winners play in the Final
U11 Division
U11 AA (North Oil, Jr. Savages, Thrashers):
- 1st Place gets a bye to the Championship Final
- 2nd vs 3rd: Semi-Final
- Winner plays 1st in the Final
U11 A:
- Same format as AA: 1 gets bye, 2 vs 3 in Semi
U11 B & C:
- Quarter-Finals: 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5
- Semi-Finals follow
- Winners play in the Final
U13 Division
U13 AA:
- Championship Final: Edmonton Kings vs Pink Panthers
U13 A & C:
- Quarter-Final: 4 vs 5
- Semi-Finals follow
- Winners advance to Final
U13 B:
- Semi-Finals: 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3
- Winners advance to Final
U15 Division
U15 A:
- Quarter-Final: 4 vs 5
- Semi-Finals follow
- Winners advance to Final
U15 B:
- Semi-Finals: 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3
- Winners play in the Final
U15 C:
- 5th advances to Final
- 6 vs 7 in Semi-Final
U18 Division
U18 AA, A, B:
- Semi-Finals: 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3
- Winners play in the Final
U18 C:
- Quarter-Finals: 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5
- Semi-Finals follow
- Winners advance to Final
