Parents and Spectators:

We believe in fostering an environment where every player can thrive, learn, and most importantly, enjoy the game of ball hockey. As parents and spectators, you play a vital role in shaping this positive atmosphere. To ensure the best experience for all involved, we have crafted a Parents Code of Ethics that outlines our shared values and expectations.

PARENT CODE OF ETHICS

Prioritize Your Child's Enjoyment:
Remember that your child participates in ball hockey for their enjoyment, not solely for yours.

Promote Sportsmanship:
Encourage your child to play by the rules and resolve conflicts peacefully, without resorting to hostility or violence.

Emphasize Effort Over Outcome:
Teach your child that giving their best effort is just as important as winning.

Celebrate Effort and Fair Play:
Make your child feel like a winner every time by praising their fair competition and hard work.

Avoid Ridicule or Negativity:
Refrain from ridiculing or yelling at any child for making mistakes or experiencing setbacks.

Lead by Example:
Recognize and appreciate good plays and performances from both your child's team and their opponents, setting a positive example of sportsmanship.

Respect Officials:
Trust the judgment and integrity of the officials, refraining from questioning their decisions in public settings.

Endorse a Positive Environment:
Support efforts to eradicate verbal and physical abuse from children's sporting activities, contributing to a safe and inclusive environment.

Appreciate Volunteer Coaches:
Show respect and gratitude towards volunteer coaches who generously give their time to provide sporting opportunities for your child.

We're committed to creating a supportive and respectful community where all participants can thrive. Thank you for your dedication to upholding these values and making every game a positive experience for our young athletes.
